Chapter 10A Chapter by gavinmichaelsChapter 10
Riucher had come through as he always did. He just wasn’t sure what to do with the information. He knew everything there was to know from who her parents were to where she had grown up to what college she was in and what classes she was taking. The classes threw him off. Before that day she had been just taking prerequisites, now she was majoring in political science. That in and of itself didn’t bother him, it was the occult studies class. Was she on to him? Had she figured out what he was? She couldn’t have in the short few weeks since the incident; but it seemed that maybe she was on to something. If she was then she would have to be handled. That meant telling somebody about her. He knew he wasn’t going to be able to keep it a secret for much longer anyways; the people he worked with were already noticing a difference. He kept breaking things trying to get used to his new strength, his senses were sharper, but most of all was the fact that he was gaining color. The longer his heart beat the more his skin soaked in the blood flowing through him bringing a noticeable flush to his skin. He needed more time, he had to keep this to himself a little longer. He would figure out what to do, how to handle this situation. He still hadn’t come to grips with it himself, much less trying to explain to the council that he was in love with a human. Damn he needed someone to talk to, someone who had been through the change already, but the only one he stood a chance with was Dieter and he was out on assignment with his wife Johanna. Dieter might understand since he and Johanna had gone through the change and he was a bit of a rebel in the first place. He had tried to find out where they had been sent but the information was classified and he had no way to obtain it. Laying in his bunk at the facility wasn’t going to help him and worse could raise questions he didn’t want to answer right now. He had an apartment off the books, he would head there while he tried to figure out what to do. Grabbing his trench he headed for the door. © 2013 gavinmichaels |
