Faith

Faith

A Poem by Gavin Keary
"

This is my first poem I ever wrote. Its a kind of fantasy poem, so I hope you like it!

"

Light feigns, and darkness reigns.

For the longest minute, naught can inhibit.

Overpowers all, till it stands mighty and tall.

But it cannot last, for it will repeat the past

And birth a herald,

with power unparalleled.

On sun drenched wings he flies,

and rips darkness from the skies.

And so light regains hold,

on darkness untold.

Our hero triumphed blasphemy, and is lost to history.

How in the world, do you rhyme words so well, and then, your poem doesn't sound "kiddy" like!?! I love it! It's a wonderful poem. Amazing job! :>]

I love it. It's beautiful, dark and light, and so very poetic. :)

It's pretty good for a first.
I remember my first poetry...
I was eleven, so it was pretty cheesy.
Wow, that was around 8 years ago...

Anyway... Nice piece, especially for a first. ^-^
