Suicide

Suicide

A Poem by Gavin Keary
"

Again, this is a poem brought by severe depression.

"

Crying alone

in my empty home.

Watching my mind

Begin to unwind.

All I have taken

is now forsaken.

I watch the crimson color flow

from my self inflicted blow.

I smile as the choir sings

and grants me my heavenly wings.

I say silent goodbyes

to my earthly ties.

But then I stop,

start to fall, start to drop.

I hit the ground

without a sound.

My chance to fly

has sailed on by.

I sit and stare

at walls so bare.

Crying alone

in my empty home.

I am impressed, very beautiful. This would be a familiar feeling with many.

You capture despair acutely here. It is a sad poem, but it is better to have put those wings into the poem than going to wear them.

This is sad! It's good but sad. I liked the structure. The rhyme is good. All the words seemed to fit. Great work!
