Room

Room

A Poem by Gavin Keary
"

I was feeling depressed one day, so I thought this was appropriate for the feelings.

"

I am here, in my room

as bare and quiet as a tomb.

Here I reflect on a past endeavor.

For in my room a thought will never whether.

Everything that has come to pass, a first real kiss, A long loved lass,

are in my room and here to stay.

That's how I like it anyway.

SO here I am on my final hour,

withered like a dying flower.

It is here I shall forever loom,

in my room as quiet as my tomb.

Thank-you for the encouraging review of my poem.

I like this one. A quiet empty room is an appropriate description of the hollow feelings you have when you are in a state of depression.

I will be adding this one to my library.
