Grateful

Sitting in the sun

Doing nothing at all

Except thinking

Of reasons to be grateful

 

The sun is warm

The sky is blue

There are birds

Singing a sweet tune

 

Soft green grass

In my backyard

Finding reasons to be grateful

Is not at all hard

 

I have a vegetable patch

And a passionfruit vine

Yes, reasons to smile

Are not hard to find

 

You're lucky as lucky

I hear you all say

But look around you

Have you been grateful today?

yeah I like this poem.. why? it has a meaning and its a lesson uts self.. this is one of those poems obe gat to read early in the mirnung and smile all day long..
