A Fractional Melody

A Fractional Melody

A Poem by Gaston Villanueva
"

My rendition of what has been done thousands of times before

"

he was painted as a blind man who

kept to himself, when one day he

opened his eyes and was able to

visually admire the world’s subtle clockwork.

from watching paint dry and grass grow and

admiring leaves falling off trees and the faces

people made when they were about to laugh, he

absorbed all the bliss and talked with a smile.

his eyes then saw hatred and how gloomy humans

could get, as they tormented him with fallacies and

melted with misery never fathoming  such

a jagged perception of life.

perplexed and quiet, he closed his eyes again to

avoid shaking hands with the broken society. Until he

met her and she gave him a cookie made with flour and

love and then the world did not look so hopeless again.

Such simple words yet quite intriguing. It was interesting to observe how you showed the changes from indifference to bliss to hatred then finally to love and hope. Specially loved the ending, it was beautiful. Also, the imagery in the second stanza. Overall, this was quite a happy poem.

you're welcome
This is delightful, and I had to smile at the end. I guess that cookie worked for me, too.
