Tainted Eternally

Tainted Eternally

A Poem by Very Old Account

Lost love is a stain to the heart
When they part
Their hearts and souls shatter.
Nothing ever matters
Anymore.
The stain of their blood,
Their love
Is red
And the fire of the passion is now dead.
When the bonds that bound
Together
Aren’t forever,
The souls become spirits,
Apparitions
Wandering around with no home
No place to go.
They are banished to the dark crevasses of the Earth.
Is there rebirth?
When all they had was nothing,
Except something
Called deception and betrayal?
Why did they bail?
They left each other intoxicated with deceit,
Too many faults on their part,
And broken hearts
That can never be mended back together again.
The curse of remembrance is the stain to their lives,
To their souls,
To their hearts
Like a double-pointed dagger.
Because that stain
Is everlasting pain
And they’re love was obscured
By a mockingbird.
The truth wasn’t heard.
What happened to the love?
