Between Two Worlds

Between Two Worlds

A Poem by Blunt--Instrument
"

Human Engagement

"
Connecting but not locked in
A loner moves inbetween the lines
It takes courage to live outside the box
Comforted though by bits of human engagement
Dylan said it best
"To live outside the law you must be honest"
Somehow those words ring true for this cowboy
Dark streets on the edge of the industrial zone
A lone light leading to the halal cart
Chicken over rice in a whirlwind of scent
Maybe it's the spices and just enough conversation
Or just maybe, it's something else .....

really enjoyed the riff blunt, just the correct amounts of witty humor, sly cynicism, and borderline hostility, in other words the soup of life
