Dreams

Dreams

A Poem by garrshaw

This dream I have relentless
constant companion
insistent and portentous

   never to forget

I had prayed for it one day
so what would it be
the price of turning away

   and so it must be

setting upon the journey
is the fulfillment
and the secret of the dream

this reminds me of langston hughes' "dream deferred"

once it starts "stinking like rotten meat" we might decide it is time for it to "explode" into fruition and finally set out on that journey to accomplish said dream.

nicely done.

Yes, we will be tortured by it until we begin. Thankyou.
Very very cute. Full of mystery and hope. Thank you so much.
