Led Not into TemptationA Poem by Monica GarciaA glimpse at identity...Sticky, pink acrylic drips down the wall.
Happy lilies dance proudly inside the child’s masterpiece. Purple fingernails sparkle in the light as he points towards the glossy garden. Prancing proudly in the garden like Wendy in Neverland. Laughing loudly to the sun as bright beams bounce off his rose blushed cheeks. Precious fruit, ripe breasts sitting silently in the tree. Soft lips, tempting tongue whisper in his ear. Quiet garden Cold breeze makes Adam hide. Taunting fig leaves blow. Stones thrown. Sticky red paints the apple tree. Purple polish slowly chips away. Fig leaves cover the pink paint. He sits against the apple tree and lays his paintbrush to rest. © 2015 Monica Garcia |
