The Sea Ceaseth

The Sea Ceaseth

A Poem by Gan Do
"

I now live in the country and paddle my surf ski in an inland river and dream of surf from another time 🐳

"
THE  SEA

“The sea ceaseth and it sufficeth me”.
A tongue-twister passed on
From my grandfather to me.
But the sea doesn’t cease
And the Surf does suffice.
So where is the point
Of my grandpa’s advice
My toes in the sand
Feel the titillate tide
Surging and urging, an
Ebullient bride -
Calling me in from the land
To the sea,
Resistance removed, by lover’s decree.
I lie in the rip
That takes me from shore
Into the arms of my Mistress,
My w***e.
If Pa was still here, I’d have to cajole
It’s not the cease but the swirl
That suffices my soul...
