AloneA Story by gameovermanBathroom meditations
A passionate tumult;
All red stained Crimson skies for crimson hearts I clasped your hands and sapped the warmth, yes; I let go and stuck the hand back in my pocket, still tingling; You laugh at me with a dearth of subtlety Amid the din of the traffic( Two engage in an argument on the street corner) You loop your arm through mine and and laugh softly; "It's evening time" I say with an air of attempted conversation You nod sapping my warmth at winters door. "Will you never leave me?" I say for I blurted my heart You nod again clutching my arm in winter's fingers; As we walk down a dilapidated road And so you and I so happy and proud walk a path that mayhaps the world has not yet seen We would be forerunners on a grand and unknown odyssey Mayhaps lead the world into a new age,,why not? For if love is real than anything shall be In the lonely light of the street lamp The warmth of your embrace was lost "What do you mean you must return home? Stop! Wait! Please don't leave" Your smiling face flickered in the lamplight as you turned and left me Alone.
