Neon LightsA Poem by GabrielAbout a girlWhat if we created the
universe? Because kissing you is like
the big bang. There are tons of different
matter running through us. Our lips together, our minds
intertwined, Our silhouettes shine Due to the neon lights. The stars above that we are
able to see May be dead already. Radiation from supernovas are
crossing our bodies, And I feel so close to you. Our love is just like dark
matter. We know it exists yet scientists can't explain what it really is, why
it exists, where it exists. Basically, summing it up, All we know is that our love
and dark matter do exist.
We get into your car. I get
into the passenger seat. You say “Let’s go to a diner” “Definitely, I’m ready to eat” We eat our veggie burgers and
fries, drinking milkshakes. This is what I always hoped
for: Love in its raw form.
You take me home While driving I say I always thought I’d end up
alone. “Not while I’m alive”. You say like it’s true, But I know it’s a lie.
I never expect good things
from people. Even though some are good
hearted. People are mean, that’s a
fact. I wonder why I never became
someone Like that. © 2017 GabrielAuthor's Note
