Poison

Poison

A Poem by Lily Anna

I lied...
Truth is, I stopped
All these blank pages
Spoken words they vanish so quickly
But once the ink stains the paper it's real
The thoughts they drain me
So many of them
I caged them
Hope to loose the key
Jokes on me, there is no key
Regardless of how faded, how lost
I can't forget the combination
Stuck in my head
You see words then become permanent
Thoughts become real
Real becomes pain
Pain, such a familiar taste
Seem to always be acquired for it
Fearless? Who am I fooling
Such fright makes chills travel all through my skin
The depth of the journey that it takes within
Poisoning my blood with the thoughts of.. You.
