All I Want

I wrote this after my first boyfriend cheated on me. I was in denial.

All I want is someone to hold me and to tell me everything is going to be alright.

All I want is for someone to be there for me and hold me all through the night.

All I want is someone to say they care about me and my heart to stay at a steady pace.

All I want is you to say you love me again and to gaze into your beautiful face.

I was your one and only, that’s what you said.

But without your sweet, loving touch, all I want is to be dead.

I feel this poem deep within me. We all have been at that point one time or another and it hurts like hell. There is no cure. There is no hope. There is no silver lining. All we see at that time is darkness and fear. After it all is said and done we can only use as motivation. I applaud you on this one. It is heart felt and genuine. Great job.
