Hurry Spring

Hurry Spring

A Poem by Gabrielle E. M. T.
"

One of my one minute or 60 second poem. I'm in a writing group where they give you a topic and you have this long to write about it. If you make a mistake you have to keep going. No backspaces or editing allowed. This is what I got.

"

Won't you please hurry.

I really miss you sweet spring.

Watching the little squirrels scurry.

And listening to the birds sing.

Look at all the beautiful flowers.

Sun setting over a field of clover.

I could lay here and dream for hours.

I never want this season to be over.

New life all around.

Animals come out to play.

Plants coming up from the ground.

This is a new day.

Goodbye winter and your wind of fury.

I want to great the season of green.

So please come, please hurry.

I miss you my wonderful spring.
