Welcome to the oblivion
If you’re here it's not by choice It destroys any and all creation It even takes your voice I guess this is my punishment Being stuck in Limbo In the other world I only heard resentment Now I just hear the wind blow I know I made mistakes And that I'm here to serve my penance I can't help it that my heart shakes As I feel the darknesses’ presence You can’t fight the oblivion But you can give it your best shot This is what happens when You try and be something you’re not The lies spread like wildfire I didn’t anticipate my web would grow this big Lost in the sound of gunfire My only option is to dig But when the rain hits the fire And the silence fills the room The situation has become dire This might be my impending doom It holds me back as I scream As I’m fighting against the current All of this feels like a dream Because my screams are silent No one can hear me How will I make it out? I scream like a banshee As I’m pulled under by doubt No matter how hard I fight I grow weak As day turns to night My future seems so bleak The silence is shattering I struggle to breathe I continue suffering Fighting against the darkness beneath I can’t keep my head above water I feel as if I’m finally going to drown Its doesn’t even matter The darkness won and pulled me down You can’t fight the oblivion No matter how hard you try It ends all creation And no one can hear you cry © 2018 zwartenkot |
