DrivesA Poem by gabiaimeeSomewhere between where we were and where we are going, I sit in limbo, in peace, Between you and whatever the clouds give us. The company of you and the voices on the radio are the only companions I need. We've driven over mountains: Summits with roads our car can't handle Never to be spoken of again But always, we come back down the other side. We've driven down the same roads I've travelled since childhood, Again and again, but it feels different now. It's faster and longer, and it feels a bit more like home. Sometimes, we drive in silence. No conversation or lyric can do justice To the things we cannot say, The rumbling road as our ambiance, we push on.
