Mirage

Mirage

A Poem by gabiaimee
"

The Art of Disassociation

"
In front of me is a mirage.
Clinking forks on porcelain ring miles away
as distant chatter floats above my head.
I’m watching with eyes that are barely mine
while I’m living in my throat"
Living in the words I want so desperately to scream
and the tension I want so desperately to relieve.

So moving in the liquid light of a mirage, the world trembling and false. Powerfully voiced, and making us realize how far we are sometimes from seeing and feeling the world as it is when we wander visions.

Many mirages for us today.
"I’m watching with eyes that are barely mine
while I’m living in my throat"
I understand the above lines. Thank you dear friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

'eyes that are barely mine' I like that line. you described so definitively the feeling of falling so deeply into your own consciousness that it's hard to know if you even still exist...
