MirrorA Poem by gabiaimee![]() Mirror, mirror, on the wall...![]()
Mirror, Mirror, on the wall:
Who's the most imperfect of them all? With a face that's fair, a face that's marked, and a body blanketed in tiny scars- Mirror, Mirror, on the wall: Who's the most imperfect of them all? With skin not quite as white as snow, every bump and bruise has a place to show. Ribbons of dashes still cross my arm, stories of villains and stories of harm. I am no fairy tale, I am no one's dream; I am no more fair than the Evil Queen. As red as rose my lips are not without the color which I have bought. Blush and shadows can one prince deceive when he decides what he chooses to believe. Dyes and colours must paint myself and my face to befit a princess of pure beauty and grace. Ebony, I suppose, compares to my hair, although much more even and much less fair. My locks knot and tangle and split at the ends which makes elastic snap and combs bend. I'm not much of a princess, and it will show without fail until a villain comes along to end my tale. Mirror, Mirror, on the wall:
Who's the most imperfect of them all? With a face that's fair, a dace that's marked, and a body blanketed in tiny scars- Mirror, Mirror, on the wall: Who's the most imperfect of them all? © 2015 gabiaimeeReviews
