Burn
A Poem by
gabiaimee
I felt my body burn
I never understood how
people could digest burning,
stinging, liquid poison
until I myself consumed
the fire and felt my body
burn.

I like it my friend. Like the format, like the topic :) Addiction and alcoholism are serious and hard for many to overcome. Good job :)

In so few words, you've summed up the struggle of millions, many of whom say, "That could never happen to me," until they're swept up in addiction. It's so sad, but the scariest part is that it can happen to anyone. Good job
