GalaxiesA Poem by gabiaimeeYou are made of Heaven and Earth
In those still rare moments
with the chance to study your face so intimately close to mine, I happen across the Earth and heavens etched into your lines. Gently cradling your hand in mine, I trace my fingers along the roadmap of veins that run the length of your wrist. Those red rivers that carry your life from the source into deltas and streams. Up your arms, down your body is your protection, the surface of your planet spotted with fathomless craters and blazing stars. Between the mountains on your back, the tree trunk that supports your frame branches into the limbs and digits that caress. I am lost in the galaxies that my mouth leaves for you: the Milky Way on your side almost outshines the Andromeda on your shoulder. The complexity of the solar systems shines through the purple moons under your eyes. Your irises show me every sky in your worlds. from misty to radiant to stormy grey; they are cosmically breathtaking above laughter lines stretching like canyons.
