Unchanging

Unchanging

A Poem by gabiaimee

I ate less
but I didn't get any smaller
I ran more
but I didn't get any stronger
I got older
but I didn't get any taller
I tried my best
but I didn't get any better

Seems like I'm unchanging
set in stone, glued to the backside of a page
Sailing upriver, moving nowhere
I cannot change

I, at times, feel this way too. Like I'm doing so much yet I'm not going anywhere. I'm still the same. Great piece. Thanks for sharing.
