Moon Cookie

The moon in the sky
Sparkles on the lake.
It gives light to the dark
When the sun has gone away

This cookie in my hand
Sparkles in my eye
It gives light to my soul
When life has flown by.

The moon in the sky
Like the cookie in my hand,
They both bring joy to my life
Even if there's no one to understand.

the only thing that really bothers me though is that the first stanza doesn't rhyme when the second and third do.
