Just how powerful nature can be

That feeling that you get right before a storm

your stomach churning

feeling something is about to happen

when the sky suddenly opens up

sending down a torrential flood

then when you think it’s over

down upon the earth

piercing the ground with unbelievable force

a bolt of unfathomable power is delivered

rendering everyone that comes close with it

to feel an unshaken sense of terror and sensation

you think it’s all over when out of the dark soulless clouds

beams a sound shattering the tranquility that surrounded it

and replacing it with pure devastation and awe

as you gaze up with delight over the power

hurling that feeling back to you
