so much

so much

A Poem by Reward 'premio' Mwale

So much on my plate, i need a napkin and a shovel
So much on my mind, i'm like a walking novel
Five feet deep, going on six, then in goes the towel
I guess you cant see the light half way down the tunnel
Done seen good and bad, drinking ugly off a funnel
It was good, now its bad, you would think they changed the channel
Fighting off demons, working at being an angel
Like young simba, staring into the waters, hoping to get some answers
Hoping for something bigger than life to remind me
Remind me of who i am and rekindle that flame
Remind me of what i'm here for, and from where i came
This fast lane i done walked is confusing
And walking against the traffic is just gon' bruise me
So i stand in the highway, in my head 'whose me?'
Ever felt you've lost it and you know its not just a feeling
But you refuse to break, so you hold it all in like a sealing
All signs of break down, your ego concealing
I am at the end of this rope, but i aint letting go
