I still love you

 

I never really understood why

I would say anything

again and again

if I knew

it would make you smile.

I used to wonder

why I wanted

to be the only one

who could make you happy.

I still miss you

when I'm all alone.

I still remember

the times we shared.

I still want to make you laugh

at all my stupid jokes.

I still want

to share my feelings with you

and listen to your stories

and cheer you up

and have you in my life.

And even though I know that that's

impossible...

I still love you.
