Only For You

 

I have seen your eyes

as they stare at me from the side

as we sit together in front of our crowd.

Your lips are still

but your eyes are smiling.

They smile at me

like I'm the most

beautiful thing

they've ever seen.

 

Your lips are warm

when they are on mine

and your hands gently squeeze mine

as we lay there

under the sky.

 

And I can't help feeling relaxed

as you hold me there

breathing loud, and hard.

Your heart beats like a drum

and I can hear it

loud and clear

when my ear is to your chest.

 

God only know's

why you chose me.

But I suppose I could

have turned you down

and not have experienced

this love.

All this love

that you have shown me

for the first time

in my life.

 

And whenever you say,

"Only for you. I only do it for you"

It makes my heart

grow warmer.

With my head

on your chest

I slowly fall asleep

and as I do

I hear your voice say

"Only for you"
