Ancestry of Ashes

Ancestry of Ashes

A Poem by V. De Fura
"

I wrote the poem 'Ancestry of Ashes' ,while in my finishing year at the University of Belgrade,in 1997,eleven months or so before graduating in 1998.

"

Ancestry of Ashes

When All Things fold up square

Dust falls quicker to thicken its Core:

There' s more Hidden Truth in a Stone

Than in Bricks clinging a wall to uphold.

Secrets of the World whirl unmoved:unruffled

Mind stir their sparks, the  scattered Lore

To gather into a pile and dig only One

Running Sprinkle at the end of a Crumbling Road.

Amazing-even if the sybolism meant doesn't mean the same to me as yourself. I took the first part as a statement about the strength in individualism and holding on to your beliefs. I took the second part as kind of a seek and ye shall find because finding it could hold the key to your true happiness.
