Summer (Cinquain)

Summer (Cinquain)

A Poem by Stella

Summer

Hot and sticky

Sweating all day and night

Sultry, warm nights of discomfort

Intense

Wow... loved this piece.. I enjoy writing and reading the Cinquain form...

A good "Cinquain" , even though it doesn't make summer "sound" like a welcomed guest.

I can relate to this; we just had a heat wave and it was like this!

Fortunately where I live it usually only lasts a few days. We get fog over the ocean and that cools us down, like a natural air conditioner. Of course my friends in San Francisco get tired of the fog.

Your poem flows well and truly evokes that feeling of intensity with hot and sticky sweating -- seems relentless!
