Prologue

Prologue

A Chapter by Gracee

I couldn't believe it. On the porch steps was a parchment colored letter, adressed to me, Noa Faith Vincent. I opened it carefully, trying not to rip the wet paper. The letter read:

Dear Noa,

Your father and I have decided that it is time to let you go. I know that you re only 12 and in a new town, but you are a fighter. There is food in the refridgerator and the pantry, so that you won't have to buy anymore. I love you, babe, but I won't ever see you again. I'm so sorry.

~Mom

I stuck my nearly paralyzed fingers into the envelope, and pulled out one $500 bill and two $100 dollar bills--my life's allowance. I dropped the letter at my feet, and ran inside, a wet blanket of tears covering my face. My life was officially over.

This story sounds pretty good and it'd be cool if you continued it soon! Also, I think this would be considered more of a prologue than an epilogue. Epilogues are put at the end of stories, prologues at the beginnings.
Even though this was kind of short, I'm interested in reading more of it.
