Dragon's Nest

With tools and weapons

and one brave soul

To face fangs and talons

One shall bear all

With power that is gained

to slay rising darkness

Shall minds be abstained

and hearts be in illness

This Dragon's Nest

Shall be left challenged

With morale in downfall

And the village saddened

With a sword in my hand

Let you hear my war-cry

For here I shall stand

With my life 'til I die

With a bow at my back

and my pace quick as wind

Shall I slay a Dragon Black

To inform it of its sins

This Dragon's Nest

Shall be left in fighting

With morale slowly rising

And the village now hoping

With a mace in my arm

And a shield on another

Shall I bring you my psalm

Brought by the Divine Mother

A staff up my ace

A book through my knowledge

Shall I destroy you with malice

All elements at siege

This Dragon's Nest

Shall be left defeated

With morale high at edge

And the village conceited

Shall this Dragon arise

From darkness sublime

Should we meet demise

Decent meter, and decent rhyme scheme.
However we are missing emotions. This is a piece driven by action, so this is technically an epic poem, but you need to show us more if you are going to do that. Imagery to tell us what you see, and tell us what is going on. This can be very difficult with the rhyme scheme you have chosen.
