F**k My Life.A Story by Chloe White[Frerard /Fan Fiction]
Today, My boyfriend, who has been growing out his facial hair lately, and I, went to a family get together. When we showed up my grandmother came up to him and started growling. She then said, "I was just trying to communicate with Chewbacca over here." Thanks grandma. FML
"So, you promise me you'll be there for Thanksgiving?" My ear was going numb from having my phone pressed up against it for going on an hour now. I loved my grandmother dearly, but I wasn't a big fan of talking on the phone. "Yes, of course I'll be there... I love you too-" My eyes flashed to Frank, who was sitting in front of the television running around with Ray in a game of Halo. "Wait!" I said quickly, before she could hang up. "Can I bring someone along?" I asked. "Of course!" I heard a cheery reply, "Who is this someone? Is it a girl?" I felt my cheeks start to burn, "Er," my eyes were still glued on Frank. "Not exactly. He's uh," my heart rate quickened. I told my grandmother I was bisexual in the ninth grade. I only said this because I was mad at her for not paying any attention to me when she came to visit Mikey when he was home sick with the flu. She told me to stop being such a drama queen and make my brother some soup. "My boyfriend," I choked out. "You remember Frank Iero?" Frank's attention turned from his video game to me, he gave me a small smile and turned back. I had to laugh. I'd never played Halo because it seemed almost ridiculous. I mean come on, running around-no, scratch that. They seemed to prance around with these insanely shiny, astronaut like costumes. "Oh! I remember Frank! Okay, I'll make sure to set another place for dinner. Tell him I say hello." I smiled, thankful my grandmother wasn't going to make a big deal out of this. "Thanks grandma. I love you and I'll see you Saturday." "Love you too Gerard, bye." And the line went dead. I tossed my phone onto my bunk and flopped down on my stomach in between Frank and Ray. "Frankie?" I cooed, batting my eyelashes up at him with a giggle. Frankie paused the game, causing Ray to grumble with frustration. Frankie flopped down next to me, "Yes, Gee?" "Whatcha' doing on Saturday?" I watched Frankie sit there and think for a second, "Um," he smiled, "Going to meet your family on Thanksgiving." He smiled. I nearly tackled him, but we were already on the ground so I hugged him as best I could. "Yay!" I squealed. "I love you," I mused and kissed his cheek happily. Frank smiled and kissed mine, "Love you too, but I think Ray might kill me if I don't resume our game of Halo." He laughed. I nodded and scooched away, sitting next to Frank and watched them play. Saturday came and I couldn't have been more nervous. Frank and I had spent the night in a hotel room in New Jersey. I got dressed in my usual weekend drag. Jeans, t-shirt and jacket. I was a jacket w***e. Frankie came out of the bathroom, dressed to the nines. I couldn't help but crack up. "What?" Frankie screeched nervously, adjusting his tie. "You didn't have to dress up," I laughed and ruffled his hair. Making him take off his suit jacket and tie so he was just wearing a button down. I dug through his clothes and forced him to change into jeans. "There, much better." I smiled and took his hand. I grabbed the key to the room and took the elevator down to the lobby. We hailed a cab and began the journey into rural New Jersey. We arrived at my grandmother's small but quaint home. It lived in a small suburb just inside Newark. I paid the taxi fee and stepped out of the cab. Frankie looked about ready to be sick. I sighed and gently rubbed his back, "Hey," I told him. "It'll be fine. Mikey is going to be there. You've met my family before, don't freak." I smiled and took his hand again. Leading him up to the house. "Gerard!" I was greeted by the smell of good food and my grandmother's festive knit sweater pressing against me in a hug. My grandmother's old hands gripped the side of my face and tilted it up so she could get a better look at me. "I'm so glad you made it! Mikey just arrived and everyone is in the living room," She smiled. I watched my grandmother look over Frank and smile, "Hi, I'm Elena!" She extended her hand for Frank to shake. "Frank," he smiled and shook her hand, and then proceeded to follow me into the living room. I got more hugs from my parents and a small one from Mikey, after all I just saw him a few days ago. We talked and Frank started to relax some. Then, it was time for dinner. We all filtered into the dining room. I sat down with my grandmother and Frankie. I instantly reached for the food and began piling it onto my plate. I loved my grandmother's cooking and this was really the only time I got to have it. The conversation picked right up again, which made my stomach relax some. I was still nervous about how everyone, except for Mikey, was reacting to Frank and I. My grandmother smiled at me, "So, how long have you two been dating?" Frank got a deep blush on his face and looked over at me. My grandmother frowned, "Oh, I'm sorry," she looked at Frank and... started to growl? My eyes widened in confusion and disbelief, "Grandma?" I asked cautiously. Mikey and my parents had the same look I did. My grandmother burst out laughing, "Sorry," she grinned, "I was just trying to communicate with Chewbacca over here!" I saw Frank's cheeks flame, his hand quickly slapping over his face and slight amount of facial hair. I covered my mouth, trying to hide my laughter, but my shaking shoulders gave it away. "Aw," I said in between laughing. "Give him a break," I smiled, "He's nervous." Frank huffed and reached for my hand. "Technically, Elena, Wookie's make a sound like this," He said and let out a loud howl that sounded very Wookie-ish. My face dropped and I snorted, laughing out the food that was in my mouth. "Oh my god," I snorted and squeezed his hand. Frankie sat there with a huge grin on his face, smiling at everyone's reaction. My grandmother calmed herself down from laughing, "I like this man," she smiled. I saw Frank's smile drop just a tad, "Thanks," he said proudly. "I like this one right here," he said and nudged me. It was now my turn to blush. Today, I found out my boyfriend makes a very adorable wookie and my grandmother and him share a love for Star Wars. My life is perfect. © 2010 Chloe WhiteReviews
