Prologue

A cruel fate has been laid at the feet of 7 young men and women; one that they cannot ignore, for the fate of the world depends on it...

“In my time, I have seen this world rise and fall like the tides of the ocean. As I now prepare to perform my duty as Chronicler, I feel the tide has begun to come in once again. I fear the events that led this world down a dark path are beginning to repeat themselves. I feel the tug of evil, deep in the shadows of the hearts of men. Thus I fear that my tale shall be one of recurrence; for those who fail to face their past are doomed to repeat it.”  Maxwell 1:1-5

                       

Author's Note

I've changed( and by that I mean actually worked out) several plot elements, eliminating the whole flashback idea in an attempt to avoid confusion, and I like where this is headed in my head. I hope you do too!
For those who read and reviewed the previous version of Recurrence, Amy and friends will return in Part 2, which will tell their story.

Definitely like the introduction. I don't know if it's necessary to make an entire prologue for just one paragraph, or whether it would have sufficed to insert it before you begin the first chapter, but that is a technicality and not a point of critique. :)

It flows well and is intriguing. Very well written.

This is cool I like it! i can easily see this in a book. i think i might have missed somthing though whats the maxwell 1:1-5 bit at the end ?
