A Just Lullaby

A Just Lullaby

A Poem by unsentwordsofgirl
"

a wish in the night time, when unspoken words can be heard

"
Three summers have passed
The shadow of night can't hide our past
The moon shines on our tragedy
The stars, the points in our family
"Was it real?" I ask you
"Of course it was real"
The sorrows of summers passed can't help but fall
"Will we ever be okay again?"
My breath catches as the night grows tall
"We are okay"
I smile at you with tears in my eyes
Just like I did that Indigo night
But tonight the skies are black
Our story, gaining the one thing it lacked
Again, the silence between us screams out
For the last time, our tension grows
Not wanting to back down without a fight
But we both know our time has come and gone
Five more minutes, it's not too long
Because in five minutes, you will say your goodbye
And in our final dance
So will I

One last embrace
Shared between unspoken lovers
Our future is cleared
Now finally
Our tragedy is finally over.
