Sadness

Sadness

A Poem by frosbite

So bright but so dark

I feel like I'm dying,so alive

I want to run, 'till there is nowhere to run

I'm smiling through my tears,and I don't know why

I'm so overwelmed, but feel so alone

Why do I live? I'm so sorry,I did'nt mean to

But wanted to.I have never, but always will

There is no one, but so many

I can't,but I should, Where am I,when I'm everywhere?

So sad,so afraid, so forgotten

Soon,as you see the clouds, and hear the rain

I feel my tears, as they wash over your face

Through the raging storm, how I wish to be

The angel keeping you safe

I don't know why, but I understand

I'm so young, but feel so old

I need someone, but have to be alone

There is a darkness so bright, a smile so sad

A love so cold, want to go,but have to stay

I can't, but you enable me

save me, for I feel I'm lost,

I want to be found, but will I?
Is there time when it's too late?
How can I love, when they hate?
I don't mean to be, but am
Time is over for me,but will it ever end?
I don't want to go, but I can,
The cold wind in my face warms me
I have ever yet to see,

Someone going, but waiting for me.

Contradiction. The push and pull of life and what's within us and around us...This was so nicely done, so perfectly expressed and real and raw. I related to every single word!

A very intriguing piece! I love all the contradicting statements, it adds to that feeling of wonder and curiosity, although, in my opinion, they are used just a little too much. It was starting to give me a bit of a headache. The lack of spaces between punctuation in the first two thirds of the poem also bothered me a bit. However if I were to grade by theme and originality, I would give it a 10/10. I loved it!

I love the paradox, feeling something that's so many feelings, but still the same thing. :) Great stuff. :)

Wow that's really some interesting writing there:) You should write more! I totally liked it an as for my honest opinion that is it, there's just a few grammer errors in the beginning but that can easily be edited:)
Great write!

This is a good piece. Interesting and a vast collection of many thoughts compressed into one emotion. I feel it is not actually an emotion but instead a state we reach in life, when everything becomes out of control and we are driven to a state of depression. Even with people around us we feel alone, or that is how we want to be because they just make the feeling worse.

I can relate to it very much. And it sounds like you have taken the words straight out of my mouth.

Sometimes it feels like it is breaking. Maybe correct some of the punctuation and spacing unless it is deliberate.

Overall good work!
