Fall In, Fall OutA Poem by Michael JohnShakespearean sonnet. This is the second version of this poem.I
think that I inhaled too deeply when My
lips first met with yours not long ago, The
universe aligned for me right then; Celestial
eyes that gave a faint, warm glow. No
longer could I think in words and thoughts, Instead,
in punctuation lacking wit-- My
words that flowed, now in a mess of clots From
taking in your essence, all of it. Remembering
what it was like before The
constellations in the skies had kissed, And
fell apart when you walked out the door. The
gravity crushed me under its fist.
In
soundless space, we drift away again, Abandoning
what could have never been.
