Enough

Enough

A Poem by Christine Crowson
"

perception of feeling something in our lives and the abuses our flesh crave to achieve such.

"
I am numb.
I feel nothing.
I see everything, but of no matter to me.
I breath and move, but oh my soul is surely dead.

I yearn with all the atoms of my makeup to feel something
more than the mannequin life I've become numb.

My lips quiver as your poison spills atop,
a fluidity flowing down my throat that only you can make me feel.

I drink to feel something
in a world numb to my every sense.

My bottle has become my life.

As if to feel something is enough.

I felt this piece, personally, like I wrote it about myself. I like this one.

Thank you. :) XX
Love it Christine. Beautifully written, good use of line break and italics. Conveys the message and emotion perfectly.
