A Dense Darkness Called Death Eternally

A Dense Darkness Called Death Eternally

A Poem by Friks

Whispers in the dark...
Demons from the past...
Lurking in the shadows as you walk through the park.

A flash of lightning!.. no thunder? The demons are gone...
Now the darkness is thick, thicker than water...
You find it hard to move
Your body stagnates as you explode into raging anxiety!
A fear so intense that fire would be ice to your soul!
Lightning would be a teardrop in an ocean of hatred and pain
Death would be a battle in which victory is what you forgot how to gain.

Your eyes are sinking into their sockets
Your heart is growing spastic
Your hands become cripple
Your feet become torn by thorns and thistles...
Your body is aching
Your bones are slowly crumbling and breaking
You are disintegrating!
Forever remaining agonizingly intact...
Doomed to suffer the consequences of the past
Burning forever behind your mask.

You wake up! ... The night is dark...
Your heart is pounding
Breathing like a race horse...
Intense relief... You are not in hell
You are not dead...
You are not rotting in a darkness
So dense it can be spun into a thread
Eternally wrapping around your existence
Waiting till you're dead.

Welcome to the knowing...
These thoughts forever lurk inside your head
