another poem I missed reading a tear ago.. damn Frieda, I must have been lost somewhere.. ;0) probably lost in those "dark wine's druthers" .. it seems as though it is only in nostalgia that the moon surrenders.. but it is only just an extinction I have found...
A bold proclamation of one of my favorite poets on this site and done with sad realization which we all go through in our stages of life. There are really cracks, holes and gaps to plaster and fill. Not surprising you still possess The pen...:)...................
No matter which age, we learn a little more about self, how we use past for future use.
Here, so many hints point at dark, misused, abused times.. and the realisation that.. ' .. awaiting sunrises proliferation - eradicated in waning poetry's poignantly pen'd excised elocution.. ' explain something more than meets the eye.
Your style here has me frowning its discipline; your meaning has me wondering; having you near to read means thoughts fly higher again.
So many people feel crushed by the years. They try to behave as they imagine their youth once required. The years wend on and often weigh upon us… But, I wouldn't trade now for anything. Older and wiser and better able to choose the happier paths…

Thanks for your thoughts.

Did you write this poem just so you could play "Landslide?" Or because of it? (He asked with a smile! ;{ ) I've got my mustache on.
Either way, we are lucky to go through the seasons and life's changes, I think. Then we can look back with satisfaction; or, with "crap . . . what was I thinking. Perhaps, we all need a little landslide to bring some things down.

I have been feeling this sort of melancholy the last couple days. I think you captured the essence of it as well as the song does. "Can the child in my heart rise above?" 50 years... and I still don't have the answer. Good work.
