Season'd love...

Season'd love...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_calculated calibrations_

"
Really wish you'd look me straight
in the eye when you breeze my way,
thought to myself, 'I do the same'...
what is this thing called love
that ties us in endearment's knots
       makes chameleons of us all,
fluctuates like the seasons,
     hot, cold, breezy & lukewarm
what happened to the intensity
              of affection's  bloom
instead of wilting in
            pathetic poetry's time warp,
relegated to the indignation
           of calculated calibrations
temperature gauges run amuck
       in frenzied heartbeat's irony,
   reigning in silver linings and
             spirit sucking entities,
bide my time till the tides turn yet again...
& you can look me in the eye...and sigh

Great poem.

Sorry, my brain can't get past "amuck." Ever since that Sarah Jessica Parker moment in "Hocos Pocus," that words just runs, "Amuck, amuck, amuck, amuck!" LOL :D
