Quixotic bliss ~

Quixotic bliss ~

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_wildflower sighs_

"
Kissed my face like
rain on a steamy summer's day
tousled my hair as
          a warm zephyr's embrace
sent shivers up my spine
            of wildflower sighs,
stole my heart in
          unrehearsed poesy's verses
serenaded my spirited
        whimsy'd yearnings,
etched my name
           upon your naked skin
flagrant impulsion
             of strong pulsations,
 earth whirls in your
           gravitational pull,
   vibrating a new dimension
           off its tilted axis
just the 'tween spaces of us exist,
my affection beats
             in perfect synchronicity
when I bear witness
        to your soul's intensity
    in sweet surrender's ecstasy,
whispered endearments
of endless time,
       quixotic bliss of
             infinitude's poetic rhyme

Frieda, your poem makes it feel like the earth has opened up and jousting at windmills is a noble undertaking.. are you the fair "Dulcinea" in disguise??? Perhaps it's the "wildflower sigh"??? Which ever, love and romance aren't dead afterall...!!!

Did quixotic bring Don Quixote to mind? You know that's the origin of the word, you probably did..... read more

This flows like a classic song, very smooth and evocative, nicely done.

Romantic, sexy, and sensual. But my favourite part is the simplest - the twist of shivers up instead of down. I understand this. :)

Oh man seems someone has touched our Friedas heart are we in danger of losing you to these marinations? Perhaps you shall become our new mature writer.I don't think Charlie konsor will approve of that just think of all the advertising he will lose when forced to tag your works as mature content beautifully done it lifts the heart and soul

The title of the poem was very fitting… Eloquently sensual is the only way I could describe this sexy piece of poetry.

That's quite a compliment Benny, thanks so much, jazz'd you enjoyed!
Rhyme is an intricate concept especially in Frieda's "hands" it can mean many things at once which it is certainly one of her skills (one of many). It makes me smile to see that the journey in her life starts to become slightly more positive and there are clear indications or passion and conatct and surrendiring even. It is always tough though we don not want to lift ourselves up too much in case we fall again. It has a hit of that feeling as well.

Gentle as she goes

Thankyou

Wooo....chuffed to pieces Woody!!
Beautiful and sensitive words. I liked the language and the thoughts create by the powerful description. You had wildflowers, love and ecstasy in the words. My kind of poetry. Thank you Frieda for your wonderful poetry.

You are welcome dear Frieda.
Love the way the words are so tightly wound. They seem to just be perfectly strung together like a blanket made of silk. This was truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
