Half past deliverance ~

Half past deliverance ~

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_wicked nightmares, perhaps_

"
Where the moon sets
     and crimson darkly rises,
living color in helter-skelter
      dreaded dreamscapes
deafening core truths are pitted,
  inflamed hideous creatures
show their true nature's twist,
posh ghosts reintegrate from dust
  reenacting on frosty terrain's
     biting master plan scenario,
haunting reverberation's, escort
  splintered runaway strangers
     to have their own way
       free falling from the skies,
startled shortwave shocks
   half past deliverance's aberrations
            never to be assuaged
    in smoke and mirrors evocation,
wounded eyes blink circumstance
      whilst incriminating prisoners
      strike as chord's regrets
          locked under surveillance,
appeased at the gates
    of bloody damnation's incrimination
 reality's dawning light wavers subdued,
burbles of denial's bubbles popping
    fractured in existing frailty
    breathes contentment
       in wakes allayed suspicions,
             daybreak filters on chance sanity

" runaway strangers
to have their own way
free falling from the skies" - wonderful line! Love what it says and the flow.

You and Kubla have such similar styles, was this a coincidence or do you inspire each other haha.

Lots of good sinister imagery. :)

I love the last line! "Daybreak filters on chance sanity." This is beautifully said, and the whole thing is beautifully written. I like the play of all the action verbs really giving movement to the train of thought from one image to the next. This was so frantic and yet brilliantly haunting all at the same time. Well done!

Filled with so much pain and fear, and the imagery took me to all them places. Your poetic pen is on fire.

...and how would you know that, pray tell Tate? ;)
You covered every emotion, fear and longing, plus a few emotions and situations which I find indescribable. That, then is the real meaning of "nightmare," I'm thinking. Oh, and to cap it all off that last line was a kickass last line.

Thanks so much Hitchhiker..
A nightmare so darkly engrossing...I would not want daybreak and sanity to intrude...till I have slayed every dark shadow lingering in my realms...Amazing poetry from you Frieda...
