" runaway strangers
to have their own way
free falling from the skies" - wonderful line! Love what it says and the flow.
You and Kubla have such similar styles, was this a coincidence or do you inspire each other haha.
Lots of good sinister imagery. :)

whoo bring on the darkness and the eerie jeeries while i read this in the dead of the night. great word choice as always. i didnt have to use a dictionary so college must be doing me some good. great as always frieda
Another great! You are just amazing to me.
"haunting reverberation's, escort
splintered runaway strangers
to have their own way
free falling from the skies,"....just a few of the endless incredible lines from which to draw inspiration. Great write, Frieda P! :)
I love the last line! "Daybreak filters on chance sanity." This is beautifully said, and the whole thing is beautifully written. I like the play of all the action verbs really giving movement to the train of thought from one image to the next. This was so frantic and yet brilliantly haunting all at the same time. Well done!

You covered every emotion, fear and longing, plus a few emotions and situations which I find indescribable. That, then is the real meaning of "nightmare," I'm thinking. Oh, and to cap it all off that last line was a kickass last line.
A nightmare so darkly engrossing...I would not want daybreak and sanity to intrude...till I have slayed every dark shadow lingering in my realms...Amazing poetry from you Frieda...
Thanks Divya, not easy to slay a nightmare, those krakens are wickedly sneaky.....

If you want to know me, read my poetry, it's all in there. I am a mother of three sons (my finest moments) a sister, a survivor and a little bit crazy. I lost my beloved sister to suicide, so you'll.. more..
