Remain unsaid...

Remain unsaid...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

drunken reality

"

Territorial in composition's pain,
      possessive dance of
            temperament's affectivity,
 can't sing my sad song
leave me be to play upon
   my heartache's
             frenetic piano keys
    tune your own authentic
                     drunken reality,
 don't presume you know
    the angst within my breath
       the way my soul bled,
           tears that were shed,
   nor the million minuscule
       pieces that remain unsaid,
    notes of my obsession
                            left unsung

I've read this specific poem multiple times and each time I am left speechless, the music and your words touch my heart and render me speechless. So I decided to read it to my Gran - 'cause we all know she loves you and your poetry - and damn, even she was speechless (which made me larf) but anywho...

We all have experiences that have shaped us and our past/future... Whoever judges you, needs to have their head checked... I know exactly how it feels to be judge, I'm judged everyday - They may know you but they don't know your story. I wish some wouldn't judge a book by it's cover but they do. You know I love you and think you're the most amazing woman I've ever met... You're my inspiration and I admire you more than words can say.

Flip flops & all that jazz! xoxo

standing in the rain....hiding so the world can't count the tears.....how empty it feels to stand in shoes that are not our own....wondering why they walked ......away. Hugs and wishes for warmer sunny days and bright smiles!

Loved your poem, touched a chord in my heart. Succinct, but spoke volumes.

don't pretend to know me...you don't---you read my words and think you can psychoanalyze me...

figure me out...but you only get bits and pieces from my poems...and can never really know what i have been through...where i have been in my mind and heart.

good words, Frieda...real words.

I couldn't have said it better myself, thanks so much jacob.
Not sure if it was your words or the music, but when I stopped reading and listened to the music, I heard the words play in my heart, when I just read your words, this music played... I have read several times and the music has stopped, so why am I still able to hear you say, "nor the million minuscule
pieces that remain unsaid,
notes of my obsession
left unsung"..

My kind of poetry. I lived in Tavern for 20 years. Drunken reality can be a lonely place. No weakness in the excellent poetry.

Thanks so much John, glad you could relate to my words...
Anyone has no right to criticize the deeds or way of thinking of others because we really don't know what's happening in their lives...
I like the concept of this one, and of course the lines that are exceptional.
Great!

left unsung" - a threat unsaid by many poets who have`nt found their voice. People always want to judge you but never walked in your shoes. Great symphony of words to obtain the meaning of empiricism Freida!

Your welcome!!!!
Wow, this one hit hard Mrs.R...it won't surprise you to know that I related to the first part wholeheartedly...the first line is a phenomenal opening...those are the kind of lines I always hope for when I start writing something...territorial in composition's pain...my god, that is so me...as for the second part, well obviously that is all you...I can relate to this part if I apply it to my own context, but clearly it's an unabashed self-assessment...I've always maintained that I would never claim to know how you're feeling on any given day, and I won't...but when I apply it to my own issues, and the way I'm perceived, well, I'm not sure what more I can say...in light of the way I've been feeling these days, this is one of your most affecting works in a while...I wish I wrote this one...a drunken reality has not been this tempting in a long time...this is a favourite for sure...xo
