Moonlight mockingbird

Moonlight mockingbird

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_

"
I wandered
about the moonlight
looking for our
           shadows cast,
somewhere near
a perturbed ocean
    where last there
was a vast sky,
came upon a
          dark mockingbird
who sang the songs
             of spirits past
lyrics spun of wildfires
      and poppy's blood,
he whispered in
      lush hushes
as a bluesy
            untamed melody
played on ghostly
              violin strings,
 spun of eerie tunes
         in ending's rhyme

sounds like a few clubs i've been in,
he whispered in
lush hushes
as a bluesy
untamed melody
played on ghostly
violin strings,
spun of eerie tunes
in ending's rhyme, one of the most beautiful pieces of work I have read. :)

opening lines are brilliant says i! the turn at "...dark mockingbird" .. creates in me a foreboding tension .. that stays with me to the closing .. some memories tho they are magnificent on one hand .. sometimes are best left alone ;) .. your poem "Moonlight mockingbird" touched a deep place in me this morning .. i need to go eat candy now ;)

Well, you know I take a lot of late-night walks Mrs.R, so this one spoke to me in volumes...what I'm looking for I have no idea, but I would probably welcome the presence of shadows, or mockingbirds...I detect alienation in this piece, but that may very well jut be my mindset right now...above all this is a soothing and lyrical piece that left me with strains of violins in my ears...yes, this one hit me on a deep and personal level, given my penchant for walks and all those years of living by the sea....it's probably for the sea's own good that I only visit it occasionally now, for I'm probably the one that perturbed it with my unceasing glare haha Again you have cast a spell with your words, and left me swooning in your poetic bliss...gorgeous work love :) xo

Thanks Laurie, that means a lot to me....!
My son took up the violin in fifth grade...such a mesmerizing instrument to listen to.

The beauty of your words is ever lifting, Frieda...with a touch of sadness.
