Moonlight mockingbird

Moonlight mockingbird

A Poem by Frieda P
"

_

"
I wandered
about the moonlight
looking for our
           shadows cast,
somewhere near
a perturbed ocean
    where last there
was a vast sky,
came upon a
          dark mockingbird
who sang the songs
             of spirits past
lyrics spun of wildfires
      and poppy's blood,
he whispered in
      lush hushes
as a bluesy
            untamed melody
played on ghostly
              violin strings,
 spun of eerie tunes
         in ending's rhyme

sounds like a few clubs i've been in,
he whispered in
lush hushes
as a bluesy
untamed melody
played on ghostly
violin strings,
spun of eerie tunes
in ending's rhyme, one of the most beautiful pieces of work I have read. :)

Top-notch poetry that resonates life, love and nature in their fullest impact on our strengths and frailties.
I hope all is well in your world as they are in your word.

dearest Frieda… you were a Poet when I first joined WC. It was a Magic time before the Corona Virus and now the effort to destroy everything that made our Country Great… being destroyed by Insane Politicians that throw our Tax money around like an Earthquake out of Control… Open Borders, no Accounting… offering Free Healthcare and Education … when the Immigrants own Countries should have kept their Citizens with Laws and Order and Principles.
G-d help us All. Amen .. Pat

(he whispered in lush hushes as a bluesy untamed melody played on ghostly violin strings) What a hauntingly beautiful line this is! I love the entire post. Great writing! ~Sharon

Fantasy ..You make love seem like reality but no matter how great people describe love to be I will always compare it to these haunting fantasies you've accustomed to me. I would listen to the sad tune of life through the violin of bones only to wait for said mockingbird to strike an artery and let the love blood flow once more.

Frieda, the many and varying facets of your genius leaves me in awe. The woman who brings us high heeled red spiked shoes, pens this masterpiece of reverence and reflection. It was an honor to read this one. So incredibly beautiful..
