Once upon a time...the end.

Once upon a time...the end.

A Story by Frieda P
"

_

"
Once upon a time
   there was pure innocence
it's not a storybook ending
      by any means
yes,  monsters are real,
      as are ghastly human beings
this story never unfolds
quite in the realm of truth
          or fair judgement
dwelling in the unrighteous shadowy
           kingdom of darkness
judicious men have shut their eyes
so that injustice & evil can exist

    there is no final chapter...

Frieda, if you had just posted Tori's song, it would have more enough, to bring back my memories of my own past. For this song, has a very special meaning for me, most people wouldn't understand. Tori's songs have helped me, to get past many difficult times, when I was moments away, from my own end.

As for your poem, I feel the pain and anger, which has given rise, to this. Taking only one person, to stop the abuse, but choose not to. As for an ending, sometimes, no ending is an ending. Only true ending, is the final one, death.

Tori resonates with many survivors as she is one herself...her music speaks to me too. Thanks much.. read more

Your welcome, Frieda. This particular song, was written, after Tori was raped, herself.

every story has an ending. don't be presumptuous. the ending may not be happily ever after, but it ends, and it ends with a fury of thousand flaming hurricanes from the depths of despair. it ends with a hush and an echo of a new beginning. you must try harder if you want to impress me and be my courtesan.

If only....thanks jacob.
In a way, the poem is in the title.. "Once upon a time.. The End" but you go on to verbalize in PAIN, that
yes, monsters are real,
as are ghastly human beings...
Oh Frieda, we may never get rid of the scars these monsters leave, but can't we at least stop this from happening over and over again... there are to many "crucified (as the song states) already.. way too many!! you leave my heart tattered and .."The End"..

Pretty much describes most injustices...theres no happy ending or even a final chapter. Just the scars that the survivors live with each day... You paint harsh reality here!

Injustice really ruffles my feathers, thanks so much hardeep.
I was lef with very little hope when I finished this but true enough there are some "stories" which are beyond redemption beyond comprehension as well that how bad they are. The intentions not even worth questioning all that matters is that the outcome favours the wicked. As long as that is so. No worries shall be spent aimlessly. To seal it all it is ongiong . Uff time to smell the coffee I'd say.

So many thousand years to wake,
But will you wake for pity's sake!

Thankyou

This is a dark one chica but the truth.Monsters do exist and happy ever afters not so much.We wish life could be a fairy tale but it isn't its way too twisted and heart breaking for that. You okay chica bitterness fairly drips off your words. As I said sometimes you just want to sink.

Finally, and it was worth the wait. I can only offer the thought of balancing the world around us. Deep down I seem to be an optimist, but also a realist. The only changes are the ones we make. Sorry for the ramble.

Is that possible? Most optimists tend to shy away from the dark....
