Wild child Autumn

Wild child Autumn

A Poem by Frieda P
"

bid adieu to summer's fire

"
A twinkle in her eye,
   as autumn breezes whirl,
tumbling like popcorn nymphs twirling
wild child frolics amidst colored skies,
              feels alive in falling rhymes
romps with playful butterflies
zephyrs of golden ribbons lace the air
        crimson and tangerines hues,
crisp as a morning's dawning view
cuddly sweater's warmth upon a hearth,
dashed in a clash of a smile's sigh
bid a brisk adieu to sweet
      summer's fiery summertide

"The uploader has not made this video available in your country" Now I am intrigued by what music you chose for this highly appropriate poem. Sunday we were 77 F and sunny, Monday it was 32 F and we had 4 inches of snow. Totally skipped that "autumn breeze" thing.
Well written FP.

It's familiar. Is it an homage to Keats?

Frieda, I absolutely love this poem! These images make me eager for the chill in the air, the color-change of the leaves, sweaters and warm cider...

You have the most unique ways of describing the scene of your work…

tumbling like popcorn nymphs twirling
wild child frolics amidst colored skies

Love that, the whole poem is spectacular.

We don't see much of Autumn here in Southern California (I keep waiting for those damn palm trees to turn colors...) Your poem paints a gorgeous picture of the changing season. Beautiful poetry lovely lady.

Though summer has retreated and finally receded for another year...do not dismay, for with autumn comes the mystic allure of change with hues of invigorating colour and transcendental aspirations !

A mosaic of colourful metaphor and intrigue Frieda !
