Wild child Autumn

Wild child Autumn

A Poem by Frieda P
"

bid adieu to summer's fire

"
A twinkle in her eye,
   as autumn breezes whirl,
tumbling like popcorn nymphs twirling
wild child frolics amidst colored skies,
              feels alive in falling rhymes
romps with playful butterflies
zephyrs of golden ribbons lace the air
        crimson and tangerines hues,
crisp as a morning's dawning view
cuddly sweater's warmth upon a hearth,
dashed in a clash of a smile's sigh
bid a brisk adieu to sweet
      summer's fiery summertide

"The uploader has not made this video available in your country" Now I am intrigued by what music you chose for this highly appropriate poem. Sunday we were 77 F and sunny, Monday it was 32 F and we had 4 inches of snow. Totally skipped that "autumn breeze" thing.
Well written FP.

I like your word play in this poem, and the imagery brings the poem to life, makes me feel I'm in the great out doors as I read.

September love. I have known best days in the months of Autumn. Seem people are looking for someone to stay warm with for the upcoming cold days of Winter. I like the energy and drive of your words. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Thanks so much Simran.
I love your sense of nature, the change of summer into autumn is beautiful, funny how we get to interpret poems here in our heads and mine keeps seeing that cuddly sweater warmth upon a hearth and its really a powerfully sexy line, did you do that Frieda ? Your writing is an aphrodisiac to love, always great and hot.

Thanks so much Bill, enjoy the season!
There is weaving a spell, and then there is Mrs.R weaving a spell...I like those spells the best ;) The Doors also have a song called Wild Child, and this piece put me in mind of Morrison's free verse...Jim was a beatnik essentially, and your beatnik is showing in this one...ha that sounds naughty, but this piece has an air of mischievousness to it so I stand by the observation ;) This is nature's mischievous side...one last hurrah for the carefree days of summer before autumn's colours and dreaded transition to winter take center stage...this one made me want to go prancing barefoot through a field of tall grass with the popcorn nymphs...yes, sweet dreams are made of this :) xo
