Wild child Autumn

Wild child Autumn

A Poem by Frieda P
"

bid adieu to summer's fire

"
A twinkle in her eye,
   as autumn breezes whirl,
tumbling like popcorn nymphs twirling
wild child frolics amidst colored skies,
              feels alive in falling rhymes
romps with playful butterflies
zephyrs of golden ribbons lace the air
        crimson and tangerines hues,
crisp as a morning's dawning view
cuddly sweater's warmth upon a hearth,
dashed in a clash of a smile's sigh
bid a brisk adieu to sweet
      summer's fiery summertide

"The uploader has not made this video available in your country" Now I am intrigued by what music you chose for this highly appropriate poem. Sunday we were 77 F and sunny, Monday it was 32 F and we had 4 inches of snow. Totally skipped that "autumn breeze" thing.
Well written FP.

The twinkle is deceit! As the cold, harsh north wind does compete for the attention of the nymphs who adorn this earth and value the worth of the warmth of hearts of those who worship the sun.

You sure are a cranky Scotsman today!
dear Frieda... I will now be prepared
for Autumn's appearance soon to be
displayed. Tangerine leaves lay with
Cherry pie colored leaves where breezes
brought them together. The warmth of
Autumn sunshine and graceful poetic
overtures of romantic poetry.
Beautiful and sweet as a crunchy
autumn apple. truly... Pat

This kind of reinforces my belief that fairies change the seasons. ;) I loved your descriptions of the colors in this one, I never would have thought to use tangerine as a color, but it is so much more poetic than orange (which I think is an awfully clumsy word unless used very carefully).

I love this! I love to write and read of seasons and autumn is my favorite. Seasons hold my memories, not dates and time but seasons so I really enjoyed this piece. Emotion plus season is always beautiful. Awesome write Frieda!!!

Autumn is the best time of year and I'm so happy it's decided to come a little early! This is a lovely write. The senses are overwhelmed in this piece. Great job! :)

Thanks Mads, always nice to see your face on my page. :)
My favorite time of year. You bring Autumn to life with your words. I can see the colors and feel the crispness of the air. It takes a little while longer to get here, down in Atlanta. But, I am excited for the season, now that you've gotten me ready. I love this poem.
